The Geopress replacement filters are designed for a lifespan of 350 cycles (250L).
Lifespan is reduced when water is purified with high levels of silt, sediment or tannins. Cartridge press time increases toward the end of cartridge life. When the pressing time reaches 25-30 seconds, the cartridge should be replaced.
Even as the turnaround time increases, the cartridge continues to protect.
It is advisable to replace the cartridge at some point, despite all ecological concerns.
